On July 5, 2012, under the recommendation from leaders of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Casermatization, DOBE Old Commercial House1913 welcomed the guests from Florence, Italy. The delegation was led by Mr. SIMONE TANI, the director of Economy and Tourism Promotion Bureau of Florence, Italy, and Mr. STEFANO GIOVANNELLI, the director of China office of Tuscany. Wen Aimei, the director of president office of DOBE, received the visit.

        The delegation visited the quintet waterfront platforms, central garden, past and present, and other highly distinctive attractions of the Old Commercial House 1913, as well as Fengyi Ads and other enterprises in the park. The guests coming from afar were full of praise and constantly took pictures of the buildings of the Old Commercial House 1913 which was instinct with European fashion and England style. They also expressed their admiration after learning about the design and reconstruction laying equal stress on protection and innovation carried out by DOBE for this old building with nearly a hundred years.

        Mr. SIMONE TANI and Mr. STEFANO GIOVANNELLI said: “it is very difficult to find in Shanghai an old building with such a long history as well as so good protection and operation, DOBE has done a very good job in reconstructing the old building. The architectural concept of DOBE are very close to that of Italian, that is, taking very good care of the old building. Building a new house is easy, while it is much more difficult to make a reconstruction of an old house successful.” According to Mr. SIMONE TANI, the director of Economy and Tourism Promotion Bureau of Florence, the main purpose of this trip was to study and learn from the advanced concept of development, operation, service of the creative office park in China, so as to promote the development of cultural and creative industries in Italy.
