On Sept. 24, an innovation and technology delegation from Yangpu District of Shanghai visited Shanghai & Florence— Sino Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base) built by DOBE.
As commissioned by Florence Municipal Government, representatives from Shanghai & Florence— Sino Italian Design Exchange Center and Florence political and business circles received the delegation together. This innovation and technology delegation consists of persons in charge of various science parks in Yangpu District. Led by Yangpu District Science and Technology Commission’s Deputy Director Ma Qing, the delegation mainly investigated Italian Innovation and Business Incubator’s development status and Italian government’s supportive policies for related industries.
The delegation first listened to a general introduction to the Center’s work made by Sino Italian Design Exchange Center’s representative. The Center’s representative enumerated the Center’s cases of cooperation with some colleges and universities, such as Tongji University, Polimoda, Istituto Europeo di Design, Le Arti Orafe Jewelry School & Academy, etc, introduced the developments in production-study combination, transnational training, business incubation and other programs. After that, the delegation had discussions and exchanges with Florence Economy and Tourism Promotion Office’s representative Ms. Viviani, Florence Murate Science and Technology Incubation Park’s person in charge Mr. Bozolo.
The delegation and the representatives from Sino Italian Design Exchange Center and Florence political and business circles shared their experience in and ideas about how to provide site, legal, HR, financial and capital support for innovative startups, how to create a good ecosystem for making innovations and starting businesses, how to integrate the comprehensive resources in parks, improve the commercialization and incubation of scientific and technological achievements in parks. The two sides will localize the experience and optimize their services to lay an all-round firm foundation for promoting the development of technology and innovation based enterprises in their parks.
