On May 27, TED_TheGardenBridgeSalon was held in Zhongshan Park of E-Manor, of which Ms. Chen Yu, the Chinese-American, the former Vice Mayor of Los Angles was invited to participate in this activity, investigating the relationship between career and family with nearly a hundred female audiences present.

        TED is a famous American non-profit institution concentrating on sharing the thoughts and exploration on technology, society and human beings, established by Sapling Foundation which was founded by Chris Anderson in 1984. TED_TheGardenBridgeSalon approved by general headquarters in America is dedicated to pay attention to, encourage and support various activities of female groups.

        This activity was the first co-operation of DOBE with TED_TheGardenBridgeSalon, of which Chen Yu, the former Vice Mayor of Los Angles was invited to be the guest to give her speech.

        Chen Yu was selected as the Vice Mayor of Los Angles at 31 years old, got married at 38 years old, separately gave birth to two daughters at 39 and 41. Having her success in politics and business, she also owns a good and perfect family. On the site of activity, Chen Yu shared the process of achieving happiness; she believed that in order to get successes in career and family, the female should get married at a mature age. We live at an age with great changes and the female breaking out of the traditional concepts require the new recognition and attention, the career and family shall not put female in a dilemma. The female need to break the wall of age to realize their dreams as much as possible.
