With the approach of 2015, EXPO Milano 2015 (May 1st to Oct. 31st) that attracts the attention of millions of people also entered the exciting countdown stage. Recently, Shanghai & Florence, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base) operated by DOBE Group was officially authorized by the sponsor of EXPO Milano to be a foreign country venue of this EXPO. 

On Dec. 16th, DOBE Group and Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design jointly formulated and published the event plan of Florence Base during the EXPO-“Creative Twin Cities Season” and related service content. DOBE Group and the Promotion Center will open an EXPO Direct Express for all the participating Chinese enterprises and brands to help Chinese design to go abroad and develop global market.

Taking advantage of the unique superiorities of Florence Base and local conditions, “Creative Twin Cities Season” incorporated the Base’s STROZZI Villa and 4,000㎡ surrounding area into its planning exhibition area. To meet participating enterprises’ different needs, the exhibition area will set a mobile exhibition area and a perennial exhibition area separately. Outside the exhibition area, the plan boldly links Shanghai-Florence-London to realize a synchronous product rotation exhibition in three exhibition venues (Shanghai Lafayette Art & Design Center, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base), London DBS Experience Center).

The whole “Creative Twin Cities Season” Event is based on China and Italy, and faces the world. At the time, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center undoubtedly will become a dialog window for global design with the most international influence. Italy’s official data shows that this EXPO is expected to receive 8 million tourists and create an influence of 20 million person-times.
