On the morning of Jan. 17, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of the 13th Shanghai Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA) had a plenary session. Zhou Hanmin, Vice Chairman of CNDCA Central Committee, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Shanghai Committee, Chairman of CNDCA Shanghai Committee, Shi Yonglei, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee of CNDCA Shanghai Committee, Gu Yiwen, Head of CNDCA Shanghai Committee’s Social Service Department attended the session and gave speeches. At the session, DoBe Group’s Board Chairman Jia Bo was elected Executive Director of CNDCA Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee.
CNDCA Shanghai Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee has its distinctive features. First, it’s made up of the younger generation of members who grew up in the non-public economy. Nearly half of them are returnees who have innovative thinking. They come from many famous enterprises, including Laiyifen, Harvest Fund, Easyhouse (China), Red Star Macalline, etc. Second, its average age is the lowest among all CNDCA special committees. It now has 54 members. The average age is 36.7. Members younger than 40 years old account for 74%. Third, the committee has attracted descendants of CNDCA Shanghai Committee’s former members to join it.
In his speech, Zhou Hanmin said this session started the third big investigation by CNDCA Shanghai Committee. After the investigation in 16 district committees and 6 working committees, 17 special committees will be investigated. The first will be the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee, showing the hope placed on it by the Shanghai Committee. Zhou Hanmin stressed the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee’s work must have 3 orientations. The first orientation is CNDCA. The members should be proud of CNDCA, perform the functions as a party participating in government and political affairs on behalf of CNDCA. The second orientation is innovation and entrepreneurship. The members must have the ability to make a living and develop, create for the world and contribute to the world. The third orientation is the future. The members should find the most certain path of life in the uncertain future. He warned everyone not to be arrogant, but should act as if on the brink of a deep gulf or on thin ice, remain passionate for learning. At the session, Zhou Hanmin gave letters of appointment to the special committee’s members, including DoBe Group’s Board Chairman Jia Bo.
