Recently, Shanghai & Florence, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base) was honorably short-listed for the venue of the 87th Florence Pitti Immagine Uomo in 2015. In 2015, the center will take part in the two large events of Pitti Immagine Uomo in Jan. and June all the way, and actively concentrate on the construction of the first Chinese Platform of Pitti Immagine Uomo in history.

About the center’s entry into the shortlist, outsiders generally interpret it as an “invitation of Italian garment industry to Chinese market”. Along with the development of Chinese economy, in the Pitti Immagine Uomo of the past three years, thousands of Chinese enterprises had unexpected cooperation with Italian brands participating in the event. This year, sponsor Pitti Immagine Group warmly opened its arms to China. Considering Chinese enterprises’ exhibition service needs, Pitti Immagine included STROZZI Villa of Florence Base into its venue list in the first round of investigation. As a result, Shanghai & Florence, Sino-Italian Design Exchange Center (Florence Base) fortunately became the first venue run by Chinese organizations in the history of Pitti Immagine Uomo.

After the list was published, the center received participation applications from a number of enterprises and designers, including Marni, Max Kibardin and other famous Italian design brands. Related venue arrangements have entered the busy preparatory stage. To promote Chinese fashion design to the world and deepen Sino-Italian fashion cooperation, the center will reserve space and channels for any Chinese brands that want to mount the stage of Pitti.
