On March 20, in the afternoon, Youth Art Exhibition “100+1 Day: Art Nova 100×DOBE WE” officially opened at DOBE WE International Hub @Donghua. At the ceremony, more than 100 guests from art, cultural, collection and academic circles witnessed the opening of 2016 Art Nova 100 Itinerant Exhibition in Shanghai.

From March 20 to April 20, more than 60 young artists and over 180 artworks will appear in 10 of DOBE Group’s parks in different styles, including DOBE WE International Hub @Donghua, DOBE E-manor of Changning, DOBE F525, etc. The exhibition line covers all districts in Shanghai. The artworks integrated with each park’s geographic and cultural features will show the dialogical relations between art and space, art and architecture, art and culture, art and history, and perfectly present the exhibition’s theme “100+1 Day”.

This art exhibition is cosponsored by DOBE Group and Art Nova 100 Organizing Committee, organized by Beijing Mingtai Culture & Art Co., Ltd. As the No. 1 brand for youth art promotion, Art Nova 100 originated in 2011. It regards exploring and recommending young artists as its duty, provides young artists with a high-end platform to realize their art dreams, so as to build a diversified vibrant contemporary youth art ecosystem, draw art closer to the masses and popularize social aesthetic education by promoting various multi-circle art activities. As the main venue for the exhibition curated by Mingtai Culture, DOBE WE International Hub @Donghua will exhibit more than 100 artworks by young artists. Mingtai Culture is rooted in Art Nova 100. All its artists in cooperation are selected from previous shortlists of Art Nova 100. For this exhibition, Mingtai Culture invited about 40 enrolled artists to exhibit their classic works. Each artist is to exhibit 2 to 5 works in different art forms, including oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, woodcut, installation, sculpture, sketch, etc, striving to show each young artist’s creation, while presenting Chinese young artists’ development track and clue in the past 5 years and making artists’ course of growth clear.

Meanwhile, during the exhibition, street art activity “Act! Art” is to be introduced for the first time. It will let the masses have close interaction with artworks and artists by means of reality shows and videos. In addition, masters inside and outside art circles will bring a series of 4 youth art lecture salons, respectively on art and space, art healing, collection and auction, the crossover of brand. 

This time, the powerful alliance of DOBE Group and Art Nova 100, allied with various forces in Shanghai, such as local enterprises, cultural and creative institutions, media, art agencies, will start a new round of art movements in Shanghai, bring positive far-reaching influences on the integration of art and life, present a wonderful “art map” of Shanghai.
